ANATOMICALLY SHAPED GUMMY BEAR IMPLANT FROM ALLERGAN NOW FDA APPROVED
There’s a reason Dr. Capizzi is known as the Gummy Bear doctor in Charlotte, North Carolina, and surrounding areas. For nearly a decade, the doctor was among an elite group of the nation’s top plastic surgeons participating in the FDA coinvestigation of the Allergan Natrelle 410 implant, also known as the Gummy Bear breast implant.
This work led to the FDA approval of this implant last year. More good news is breaking from the FDA today with the announcement that Allergan’s Natrelle Anatomically Shaped Gummy Bear implant is also now FDA approved.
According to Dr. Capizzi, “The new highly cohesive silicon gel implants – popularly called Gummy Bears – offer superior cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery outcomes. I know this anatomically shaped Gummy Bear implant very well. I’m glad all board-certified plastic surgeons will now have access to it. It means more good options for women, as the surgeon matches the anatomically shaped implant with body type to achieve upper pole fullness and the desired overall projection.”
Gummy Bear implants are offered under various trade names by the three leading medical manufacturers specializing in breast implant devices, including Sientra, Mentor and Allergan. Dr. Capizzi offers the complete portfolio of implants for all three companies, translating into optimum choice for his patients.
